GASTRONOMIC WEEK - 7 DAYS in FLORENCE

THE PACKAGE: this 7-day package offers 6 different culinary thematic areas: pizza and bread, fresh past workshop, traditional sweets, the Mediterranean diet, olive oil, gelato and sorbets.
It includes both group and private cooking lessons focused on Italian cuisine and on the chosen area, a market tour, a gastronomic walking tour and private lectures with tasting on the thematic area by food experts.

ACCOMMODATION: seven nights at Hotel Adler Cavalieri, 4 star, charming hotel, central location, near the school (only 5 minutes walking).

COOKING ACTIVITIES: the hands-on, group cooking lessons are held in one large demonstration kitchen able to accommodate up to 18 students. Students are grouped into work stations equipped with sink, stove tops, counter tops and all necessary utensils. A mirror placed over the chef head reflects his hands while cooking, in these way students will be able to notice every little detail and movement. The private cooking lessons take place in a fully-equipped individual kitchen ideal for customized lessons.
Classes are taught in English language by local chefs and food experts. The menu varies weekly; 3 or 4 dishes will be taught in each lesson. A tasting meal follows the class.

GASTRONOMIC WALKING TOUR: this tour is a fun way to see and TASTE the city. Students are accompanied through the town, making stops in local shops and small stands to sample typical foods and wines of the region. Some foods to be enjoyed in this tour are schiacciata (flat bread), crostini and bruschetta, salami, prosciutto, pecorino cheese, rice and apple fritters and of course, gelato! .

MARKET TOUR: the tour brings visitors throughout the central produce market where the freshest ingredients are available. The top floor houses all of the finest fresh fruits and vegetables as well as beautiful flowers, while the bottom floor displays a variety of meats, cheese and bread. Local Florentines and restaurateurs meet here in the morning to pick out the best produce. It is a unique experience to see the people and the colours, to smell the fragrances and to take in local culture. Bring your camera – you will get some great shots!

Rates - Euro 1.815,00 per person - minimum 2 people.
Single room extra charge 40 euro per night.
For packages in April - May - June – first half of July, September and October, extra charge 249,00 euro per person.
Rates are valid till the 31st December 2012

Please note, check-in must be on Sunday.

 

BOOKING CONDITIONS

A 20% non-refundable deposit by credit card is requested to secure the booking. Full payment is due at least 15 days before the arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The deposit is non-refundable.
If cancellation occurs within 15 days before the check-in date, no further penalty is asked.
In case of cancellations from 14 to 3 days before check-in date, cancellation penalty is 50% of total price, the other 50% already paid (less bank transfer commissions) will be returned back.
From 48 from the check-in date, and in case of no-show, cancellation penalty is 100%
